Our commitment

BYAK MB is committed to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of disability or the technology they use to browse. Accessibility is treated here the same way we treat it in the systems we build for clients: as a delivery requirement checked during development, not an audit item raised afterwards.

Scope

This statement applies to the website published at https://byak.tech. It does not cover third-party services linked from this site, or software delivered to clients under separate engagement terms.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 define requirements for making web content more accessible. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that while the site was built to meet level AA and the measures below were verified during development, conformance has not yet been confirmed by assistive-technology testing or an independent audit. Where EN 301 549 applies, the same assessment holds.

What we have done

The following were implemented and checked as the site was built:

• Semantic HTML with landmark regions, a single first-level heading per page, and headings in order without skipped levels.
• A skip link to the main content, and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
• Full keyboard operability. Focus is trapped inside the mobile menu while it is open, Escape closes it, and content that is collapsed or off-screen is marked inert so it stays out of the tab order.
• Form fields with programmatically associated labels and error messages. Errors set aria-invalid and aria-describedby, focus moves to the first field that needs attention, and the result of a submission is announced through a live region.
• Text and interface colour contrast meeting level AA on every surface, verified by calculation against the design tokens and enforced by an automated test that fails the build if a colour is changed below the threshold.
• No information conveyed by colour alone. Selected filters carry a tick, invalid fields carry an icon and a message, and unverified figures carry a text label.
• Respect for prefers-reduced-motion. Where it is set, background motion, cursor effects and entrance animations are not started at all, and no content is left hidden as a result.
• Decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology; informative graphics given text alternatives.
• Layouts that reflow to a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than let you discover them. The following are known and outstanding:

• No assistive-technology testing yet. The site has not been tested end to end with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver. Automated and manual checks cannot substitute for this, and issues may exist that we have not found.
• No independent audit yet. Conformance has not been assessed by a third party.
• JavaScript is required. The site is a client-rendered application and will not display content with JavaScript disabled. That also means the contact form cannot be used without it, which is why the postal address below is offered as a real alternative rather than a formality.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared in 2025 and last reviewed in September 2026. It is based on a self-assessment carried out by BYAK MB, comprising manual review against WCAG 2.2 level AA, keyboard-only testing, automated structural checks across every page, and programmatic verification of colour contrast against the design system. No independent evaluation has been carried out yet; when one is, this section will name the body and the date.

If you find something on this site you cannot use, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as defects, not suggestions.

Use the contact form and choose An accessibility problem. It asks for your name, an email address, the page and what stopped you, and nothing else.

If you cannot use the form — because of the barrier you are reporting, or because you browse without JavaScript — write to us instead at BYAK MB, Krivių g. 5, LT-01204 Vilnius, Lithuania. A feedback route that only works for people who are not affected is not a feedback route, so this one exists whatever state the site is in.

We aim to acknowledge within 5 working days and to respond substantively within 20 working days. If you need information from this site in an alternative format, tell us which format and we will provide it.

Enforcement procedure

This statement is published voluntarily. BYAK is a private company rather than a public-sector body, so the national monitoring route set out in the Web Accessibility Directive does not apply to this website, and there is no designated authority to escalate to. That is a reason to take a complaint more seriously, not less: if you are not satisfied with our response, say so and it will be reviewed by someone who did not handle it the first time. Where a statutory route does apply to something we operate, it will be named here.
