Who we are

BYAK MB, a small partnership (mažoji bendrija) registered in Lithuania under company code 306897734, registered office Krivių g. 5, LT-01204 Vilnius, Lithuania, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We have not appointed a data protection officer; we are not required to.

The way to reach us about your data is the contact form, choosing the Privacy or data request topic. We publish no telephone number. If you cannot use the form — it needs JavaScript — write to the registered office above; a postal request is handled exactly as one from the form.

What we collect, and why

Enquiries. The contact form is our only channel, so what it collects depends on the topic you choose. Every enquiry collects your name, your email address and what you write in the message field. A project enquiry additionally collects your company, your job role, the service you are interested in, and your indicated budget and timeline; those fields are not asked for, and are not sent, under any other topic. We use this solely to respond to you. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you initiated and, where a contract follows, steps taken at your request prior to entering into it. For a privacy or data request, the lawful basis is our legal obligation to respond.

Analytics. None. No analytics provider is configured, so nothing about your visit is recorded and no consent banner is shown. If one is ever added, the site will ask first and remember your answer, so switching a provider on later cannot start collecting from someone who already declined. It would capture which pages are visited and which calls to action are used, never a name, an email address or free-text content, and only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time on the cookie policy page.

Server logs. Our web server and our own enquiry service record standard request data, including your IP address, for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and available. Our hosting provider keeps its own infrastructure logs under its standard terms.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this website.
• We do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.
• We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are deleted automatically twelve months after they are received. This is not a policy we apply by hand: the service runs a daily sweep and removes anything past that age, whatever it was about. Where an enquiry leads to an engagement, the correspondence and records that follow are held under that engagement's contract rather than under this policy. Our hosting provider's server logs are retained under their standard terms.

Who we share it with

Hosting and email are provided by OVH, in the European Union. They are our only processors: enquiries are stored on our own server and are emailed to us so we can reply. No analytics provider is configured, so no third party receives anything about your visit. We do not share enquiry data with anyone else unless the law requires it, and we do not transfer it outside the EEA.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent, and request a portable copy. To exercise any of these, use the contact form and choose Privacy or data request, or write to the registered office. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).

Security

The site is served over TLS, and the notification email that carries your enquiry to us is sent only over an encrypted connection. Enquiries are stored on a server that only BYAK administers, in a database readable by the enquiry service alone; access is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. We apply the same secure development practices to our own systems that we recommend to clients.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all at present, and will set no non-essential cookies before you agree to them. Full detail is in the cookie policy.

Changes

We will post material changes to this policy on this page with an updated version and date. Where a change requires it, we will ask for consent again.
